Sobriety Challenge For Music Industry Professionals

Ditch the debilitating hangovers, reclaim your Sundays and regain energy + motivation before Summer hits

  • Is alcohol sabotaging your success in the music industry without you even realising it?

  • Do you often need a drink or two to calm your nerves before a DJ set or a networking event?

  • Did you know … 62,5% of electronic artists show signs of potential alcohol abuse and 51% of musicians in general have self-medicated due to negative emotions related to music creation?

  • Is hangxiety or beer fear ruining your Sundays, rotting on the couch watching Netflix until you feel capable enough to get up and order greasy takeout?

I’ve been sober for over 4 years now. I celebrated my fourth sober birthday on January 1st of this year, 2025. But…

I used to be the girl who:

  • was proud of being able to “hold my liquor” (and feel super confident, clearly I looked like a mess ->),

  • would tell myself that I *only* had 15-20 drinks on a night out (obvi I unable to count properly whilst poisoning myself over and over),

  • would find myself wasted in the backseat of a car with my fiancé and friends at 3am in the morning, driving to a dealer to get a second bag of ❄️ on a random Tuesday night, basically blowing money away. (hope the popo don’t read this)

I was also this girl:

  • It often took me 3-4 days to recover EACH WEEK from being a “weekend warrior”. And I probably wore this “badge of honour” for almost a decade.

  • I felt insecure, anxious, tired and depleted probably 80% of the time. I’d spend up to 3-4 hours a day overthinking, worrying and ruminating.

  • I struggled with mental ill-health, migraines and daily pains and aches without even realising it because I was numbing it all out. My quality of life was at an all-time low most of my 20s and 30s!

Even on vacation I’d sometimes spend a whole day in bed recovering from the most debilitating hangovers and migraines. What a waste of time and money…

My first ever sober vacation!

This is me in Tuscany in 2021, where I used to live. For the first time, I experienced it all with mental clarity, full presence, a clear skin and migraine free :)

At this point, several years into my journey of recovery:

  • I’ve completely redefined my relationship with substances and can put my own needs first without feeling guilty.

  • I’ve redesigned my social life and professional interactions to a place where I am more self-accepting, confident and assertive. (👋 people-pleasing)

  • I no longer need substances to relax, have fun or loosen up.

  • I’ve experienced a dramatic decrease in (social) anxiety and actually feel true connections to others without letting my insecurities get in the way.

That’s why I desire to pass on what has worked for me paired with +20 years of experience in the music industry and a decade of experience having coached and trained over 500 DJs, producers and music industry professionals as a certified coach and counselor, into a well-rounded and unique Sobriety Challenge.

Can a 30-day alcohol detox really change your drinking habits? These music industry professionals say yes:

I wanted to feel healthier, but I struggled to stay consistent. After the Sobriety Challenge, I felt better both physically and mentally—I’d rate my progress an 8/10! I only had two sips of champagne for my birthday and felt in control. Eline’s challenge puts you in the right mindset to change your drinking habits, and her resources are super helpful!
— Izzy, Music Industry Professional, Spain
I felt stuck in a cycle of procrastination, struggling to promote myself as a DJ. Through the support I received taking my first steps towards Sobriety, I gained clarity, cut back on unhealthy habits that had been holding me back for over a decade, and built confidence. In just over a month, I secured Livestream DJ gigs on platforms with 16K+ followers and landed a regular online radio slot—all during COVID.

Who is this for?

Are you…

  • Over your party addiction, done with finding yourself unable to resist the afterparties and afterparty supplies and ready to change your relationship to it?

  • Done with treating your pre-gig anxiety with drinks and open to new ways of building confidence in yourself and your skills as a DJ/producer?

  • Easily overwhelmed with crowded situations and need help facing that without substances so you can build and grow your professional network?

  • Already convinced of the effects of sobriety because you’ve tried it long enough in the past and you need this to be better about work, music and your relationships?

  • Sick of the debilitating hangovers and ready to regain your energy + motivation so you can be more productive, and work on getting noticed more?

Then you, my friend, sound totally sober-curious to me!

So, is this for you?

There is so much time, energy and money for you to tap into:

✅ If you want to save up to 8 hours a week that you can spend on your music, promoting yourself more as a DJ and getting noticed, expanding your professional network or being present with family and friends.

✅ If you want to save between 50 and 150 a week by skipping alcohol and/or other substances ❄️ and put that money towards piano lessons, a music production course or your personal or professional development.

❌No more time wasted being hungover watching Netflix for hours, ordering greasy takeout whilst trying to digest the guilt and shame you feel about the night(s) before - if you even remember them.

❌Stop missing out. Enjoy parties and DJ gigs without THE infamous toilet breaks ;) Let’s normalise sobriety in the music industry.

It’s totally possible to no longer allow alcohol to block you on ALL levels so that you can feel more energised, happy and excited!

Before working with Eline, I struggled with severe anxiety before gigs and relied on weed to cope. My artist managers feared I was losing control. Through our work together, I reconnected with my purpose, which allowed me to complete a two-month sober tour in Asia—and later, another in Africa—without anxiety stealing the show.
— Anonymous DJ/Producer, UK

The truth about my sober journey…

It took me 3 or 4 failed attempts!

So I understand you might be reluctant or maybe a little scared to navigate the music industry sober.

But! According to research I co-authored and that was published in the Journal of Psychology of Music:

62.2% of electronic musicians show signs of potential alcohol abuse.

And according to the 73percent report by Record Union (2019)…

51% of the respondents, that said that they have experienced negative emotions in relation to their music creation, claimed to have self-medicated due to their symptoms.

A clear sign to stop wasting days being hungover if you want to build sustainable success in the music industry ▶️
