On this episode, I speak to Xylo Aria who describes herself as a plastic bag hating, keep cup loving, menstrual cup wearing individual who is gearing up to bring about change.

We talk about how to get more women into music tech, including her online learning platform Music Production for Women, her journey as a vocalist/producer and what else she has been co-creating with the universe.

We also chat about how things that scare you can provide great learning experiences and of course we cover artist well-being and how mental health is the main challenge for DJs and producers.

There is no better medium than music through which to discuss, as a society, the biggest social and environmental factors that are impacting each one of us and our surroundings in such a significant manner.
— Xylo Aria

Take responsibility for where you are and your career
Not letting ourselves be defined by what others say or how they see us. It’s easy to feel alone but you don’t have to be. Being conscious about that and giving a try, take steps.

Stuck in the day to day? Here’s a couple of things you can do.
You need to remind yourself of what you want to achieve. Visualise you want and put things in perspective so you know where you’re going. You can do that through visualisation meditation and journaling.

Being of service
Being of service to others, supporting each other, whether it’s through teaching online or through providing a community, is a beautiful way to give back and keep the cycle of giving and receiving flowing. It’s not all about you, if you can empower others and you have the opportunity to do that, you should.

Having clarity in perception is the first step in changing the outcomes for yourself.

Seeing things clearly
It’s a matter of seeing things clearly, as they are. Seeing not with your eyes, but with your mind. Because most of the time we are interpreting things and are not aware of what is actually happening, because we are not observing the situation as is, but as we think it is.
