23. My relationship to food, intuitive eating and the frequency of food
When I first heard about intuitive eating a couple of years ago, I was absolutely fascinated by this non-dietary approach to changing your eating habits.
I got really curious about what intuitive eating is, what intuitive eaters eat and what intuitive eating means, to me!
So for these past few years, I’ve been playing around with the frequency of food, the biofeedback I’m getting from my body in response to certain types of food and literally asking my body - is this ok for us to eat right now?
It’s been - and continues to be something that continues to surprise and delight me and it has really shifted my relationship to my body - especially in how I approach food intolerances. Like, my lactose intolerance and also chronic ill-health, like my lifelong struggle with IBS - which have quite frankly, both have become practically non-existant in my quest for an ailment-free life.
Here is how I approach eating - and by no means is my approach perfect or THE best way. It’s just my way. So take what you need and leave the rest!
